Renfrewshire Golf Union make 2009 a historic year..

Having already won the Scottish Area Team Championship at Crail Golf Course in October, the Renfrewshire Golf Union Youth and A Teams have gone on to clinch the West of Scotland League trophies making 2009 a historic year for Renfrewshire Golf Union.

Braehead Junior Ice Hockey Club formed in 1992. The club made the move to Braehead Area following the closure of the Lagoon rink in Paisley and has continued to attract new young players to their "Come and Try" Peewees sessions on Friday nights.

Picture is of the Peewees, "beginners" section of Braehead Junior Ice Hockey Club, at a recent In-house Challenge match.

Coach, Bernie Bruce, welcomes youngsters, boys and girls, of 14 years and under, who are competent skaters, and with his on-ice team, puts them through their paces at the Friday skills sessions. The club has teams at various age groups, playing in the Scottish Junior League.
